Summer Line Launch Runway and Music Show! »

Sorry for the long hiatus in posts!

Hey all!

TONS of stuff has happened in Autopilot land since our last post in 2008. Sorry for the lack of posts. In all honesty, I lost the sign-in address. Der.

To quickly sum-up the past few years we’ve:

-Had employees come and go. My first employee Ellen Wilde is about to rejoin the team as my lead assistant so I can travel for wardrobe jobs and such and we can keep up on the store, runway shows, and posts still. My other employee now is Bethany Connor. She rocks as well and has been with us for a few weeks.

-I expanded the line to include kids clothes because of pressure from customers and family members. At some point I believe the kids clothes took over too much for the adult line. This is being changed.

-I made a 100 piece order of YOGA APPAREL that is being sold locally at Lotus House of Yoga and soon on the online store! These are all SUPER limited addition clothes that will make you greet the morning with the breath of fire and a heart of a lion like no other…go downward dog!

-I am still waiting for the website to be updated. The layout will remain the same. I just want to swap-out the fabrics. You know, spruce ‘er up a bit. I’ve been working on this for the past year. I’m hoping Secret Penguin will be working with us still. Maybe they can win another AIGA award from the site. :)

-The company has been in many shows over the past few years. Checkout pictures of the shows on our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/autopilot.art

-Our studio is located in Hot Shops Art Center at 1301 Nicholas St. in Omaha, NE in studio #205. Come by and say hi and purchase items from our special display of items just for the studio!

-We’ve done wardrobe for a Lifetime movie, an independent film named Seafarer, and for NBC’s Parenthood Season 2. I love doing wardrobe, costume design, and dressing/creating characters and hope to steer the company more and more into this direction.

-We still make clothes for bands on tour. Most recently I made dresses for The Mynabirds (http://themynabirds.com) past tours and a dress for Orenda Fink to wear for Azure Ray (http://www.azureraymusic.com) or whatever she’d like to wear it for. I also love to make dresses for Neely Jenkins of Tilly and the Wall. Even though Tilly has been on hiatus I still love making clothes for pals. I couldn’t be more excited for them to start creating music again! Such amazing talent.

-I made the red carpet dress for actress Mae Whitman to wear for her Tinkerbell premiere. Mae is the voice of Tinkerbell in Disney’s Tinkerbell movies. She is such an incredible person and talent. <3

-The webstore is almost ready to have a “custom order” setting for t-shirts and Hoodies. There was a minor setback with that, but it should be ready to roll soon. Whoo.

-Jaime O’Bradovich took some amazing press photos for us for the company. You’ll see these in posters and advertisements for Autopilot. I’ll post one along with this entry. If you need pictures taken for anything you should get in touch with Jaime. He is amazing to work with.

Man, let’s see..I think that catches y’all up pretty much. You can always email me at alexia@autopilot-art.com with any questions and requests as well! We’ll for sure get back to you!

Thanks to you all for your support over the years. You are aces.
